What if I am new to Canada?

Being pregnant as a newcomer to Canada can be a time of joy and celebration, and it can also be a time of uncertainty filled with many questions.

We can provide you and/or your partner with information about your pregnancy options and how to get connected to resources.

You are welcome to bring a friend to your appointment to help translate.

FAQs

I don’t have health coverage – can I still come?

Yes. All of our services are free. We are not a medical clinic and do not require a health card or health coverage for any of our services. Simply call, text or email us to book an appointment.

I am not sure how to get medical care - can you help?

We are here to help support you and connect you with other resources in our community. We also know that medical expenses are a concern. Please contact us to speak with a client advocate and see how we can help you.

My family is not here - how can I do this?

We know having your family here would mean a lot and that you may feel lonely, especially in this time when you may be experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. We are here for you. You are not alone.

A client advocate will listen to your concerns and help get you connected to community resources and people who will be there to walk alongside you through your pregnancy.

I am an international student and don’t know what to do. Can you help?

If you are undecided, we can explore your options with you so that you have the information you need to make an informed decision.

We can also help with any barriers you may be facing and connect you with a variety of community support resources.
